20 multi-step number-target puzzles completing the intermediate phase and preparing pupils for advanced strategic arithmetic challenges. Level 10 brings together the main skills developed throughout the intermediate section. Pupils must recognise useful relationships, plan several moves ahead and choose between alternative routes with increasing confidence. The puzzle set rewards accurate arithmetic, but it also places strong emphasis on efficiency and purposeful decision-making. A valid answer may be possible through several methods, allowing pupils to compare the elegance and complexity of different solutions. This is the final intermediate level in the full 20-level Number Target Challenge programme. Completion prepares pupils for Levels 11–15, where three large numbers, larger targets and more complex operation structures become increasingly common.
